I made a few calls today about rebuilding my motor (2.5 4 banger), and no one has a rebuild kit for it, the guy from napa told me to call a dude who did his small block, and that guy said it would b $2200 to pull in out take it apart rebuild it and put it back in. I'm thinkig it's not worth it what dp yall think.

I will call my machine shop down in Houston tomorrow man but a 4.3 swap would be very easy to do in that year model, they came with 4.3s in that year so it shouldn't be anything more than getting a 4.3 out of a junkyard...I saw several in S10s at budget this past weekend so that would be easy, then just rebuild the 4.3 and slap her in.

I would think you could find a good running used engine for alot cheaper then that.
